The japanese professional teachers association promotes and advances the Technique as an organization connected with the oldest (est.1958) and largest established teaching body STAT (Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique) and its Affiliated Societies & Networks worldwide.

about STAT
The Society is the oldest established teaching body and professional association for
the Alexander Technique. The Society's aims are to:
・faciliate contact between members
・encourage research into the Technique
・make the Technique more widely known
・maintain and improve professional standards
・prevent abuse and exploitation by untrained people.
As the teaching of Alexander's work has spread internationally, the Society has acted as an advisory body for the formation of national organizations for the Alexander Technique Profession. International affiliated Alexander Technique Societies and Networks of accredited teachers that adhere to mutually agreed and published standards exist in:
